Arista Aviation To Expand European Market

On the heels of securing a contract with the Portugese Air Force to provide mission-specific UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, Arista Aviation Services, as a portfolio company of United Aero Group (UAG), is poised to further expand its presence in the European market. UAG and Patria, an international provider of defense, security and aviation life-cycle support services, technology solutions and pilot training, have recently entered into initial cooperation focused on building a program to provide refurbished and upgraded helicopters across Europe. Set to begin in 2024, the program’s objective is to acquire pre-owned UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the US Army and have Arista perform refurbishments and upgrades, including installation of mission kits, enabling the versatile Black Hawks to carry out a wider range of missions with increased efficiency and capabilities.

The program will provide European customers cost-effectiveness, short delivery times and customization to fulfill various military, law enforcement, utilities, air ambulance, search and rescue, and firefighting missions, with Patria offering localized sustainment support.

“United Aero Group is very happy to start our cooperation with Patria and we are looking forward to partnering with Patria for aircraft deliveries and follow-on support throughout Europe,” states John Plume, Director of Program Management at United Aero Group.

Arista Aviation Services continues to demonstrate industry leading expertise in extending the life of and giving new purpose to proven helicopter platforms.
