Arista Aviation Awarded Department Of State Contract
Arista Aviation, an industry leader in the repair, overhaul and retrofit of a variety of helicopter platforms has been awarded a U.S. Government Department of State contract for services related to the department’s fleet of rotary wing aircraft. The contract award represents the third consecutive time Arista Aviation has been selected by the Department of State to provide these services.
The contract covers performance of the specific Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) requirements developed for the Department of State’s Bell UH-1 series aircraft and now includes the Sikorsky UH-60 series aircraft in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs inventory on an as required basis. PDM requirements are intended to reset periodic calendar and hourly airframe inspections while ensuring a high level of operational availability in-between programmed depot intervals.
As part of an overall PDM process, the first objective of the Department of State’s Advisory Commission on Information (ACI) and Critical Flight Safety Program (CFSP) is to evaluate all aircraft on a recurring scheduled basis to ensure airworthiness. The second objective is to preserve the investment in these capital assets by restoring them to approved technical standards. Through this ongoing contract, Arista Aviation will be an important part of the process.

With strategically located facilities in Alabama, Arista is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station and provider of MRO services regardless of the airframe. Arista specializes in depot level repairs, custom painting, custom avionics upgrades, structural enhancements, and other repairs as needed. Arista also offers airframe modification and retrofit into different configurations for a variety of industries.
