Arista Donates Aircraft Painting To Law Enforcement
Arista Aviation Services, an industry leader in the repair, overhaul and retrofit of rotary-wing aircraft, recently unveiled a newly-painted OH-58 helicopter for the Wiregrass Aviation Support Program (WASP). The company provided a customized paint scheme to the aircraft in their specialized facilities. The benefactors are law enforcement agencies in Alabama’s ‘Wiregrass Area’ which covers several counties in the Southeast corner of the state where Arista is headquartered.
Rob Dobson, chief operating officer at Arista, stated, “These guys put their lives on the line every day, so any way we can help out and keep the community safe through assets like these we are more than willing to help out.”
The helicopter will be used by WASP which partners with local agencies such as county sheriff’s offices and local police departments in the Wiregrass Area.
Dothan, Alabama’s Police Chief Will Benny responded, “This is a first for our police department and we are extremely proud of it and of the local people who worked on it. To have an aircraft in the Dothan Police Department, it serves the citizens and brings a level of enforcement and protection to the community that cannot be understated and underscored.”
